Replacement pane fitting
For a cracked, broken or missing pane, we can discuss removing the damaged glass, preparing the opening and fitting a suitable replacement. We aim to retain sound neighbouring panes and existing features wherever practical.
Traditional putty glazing
Where the window calls for traditional putty glazing, we can discuss renewing failed putty and bedding and securing replacement glass to suit the frame. The condition of the timber and glazing rebates is checked as part of agreeing the work.
Glass and joinery together
If a sill, sash or glazing bar needs repair, we can consider that alongside the glazing. A sound frame and suitable glass are both important to a carefully finished period window.

Questions about vintage glass and glazing
Can you fit the glass as well as supply it?
Yes. Our glazing service includes fitting suitable replacement panes into Victorian and Georgian windows, with traditional putty glazing where appropriate. We’ll agree the glass and the fitting work together.
Can you match the glass already in my sash window?
We can discuss a sympathetic match using available vintage glass. An exact match cannot be assumed because old glass varies and stock is limited to the pieces available.
Do you supply vintage cylinder glass?
Our stock includes vintage cylinder glass. Call with the size and appearance you need so we can confirm whether a suitable piece is available.
Is the glass Victorian or Georgian?
Our service is for vintage glass suited to Victorian and Georgian windows. If the age or provenance of an individual piece is important, discuss that with us before ordering.
